Mental health – you can manage it yourself

Many people struggle with their mental health from time-to-time.

We help secondary and university students understand why and teach them a handful of skills that allow them to manage their mental health and wellbeing from day to day.

Our Approach

At Mind Education our passion is to teach young people how to thrive, especially during difficult times, by passing on skills that will help them to not just get by, but to positively flourish through their challenges.

Our approach gives schools and universities the opportunity to engage more meaningfully with their students through a series of live sessions that guide and support them to manage and maintain their own mental health and wellbeing more successfully.

How we’re different

We normalise mental health for young people by increasing awareness of how and why we think, feel and behave like we do.

Instead of intervening reactively when they are not coping, we proactively teach all students how to maintain good mental health, and prevent poorer mental health from escalating, which counters the stigma all too often associated with seeking help.

Taking care of our mental health is more important now than ever.

The skills we teach help.

Evolution has given us three survival systems to protect us and keep us alive. Mental health and wellbeing is severely undermined by the dominance of the threat and drive systems, causing us a lot of unpleasant and unnecessary suffering. The skills we teach allow us to reduce their dominance through triggering and growing the soothing system.

When the soothing system is firing, we feel at our best.
